Jeff Kinney je americký vývojář a designér počítačových her a spisovatel.
Narodil se ve Fort Washington v americkém státě Maryland. Studoval na univerzitě v Marylandu, kam se také tradují počátky jeho umělecké tvorby. Jeho prvním počinem byl populární komiks Igdoof, který vycházel ve studentském časopise. Jeff Kinney je profesí vývojář a designér inline her a této činnosti se stále věnuje.
